TriMix Injections

TriMix is an intracavernous injection comprised of three vasodilators for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). According to the American Urological Association, intracavernous injections (like TriMix) are currently the most reliable non-surgical option for treating symptoms of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men today. TriMix is a fast-acting alternative to PDE5 inhibitor tablets and is an ideal option for men who haven’t had good results with Viagra®, Levitra®, Cialis® or other similar medications.

To know if TriMix injections are right for you, it’s important to understand what erectile dysfunction (ED) is and its common symptoms. Erectile dysfunction can be a result of andropause—often called “male menopause” or “Low-T”—which is a lack of testosterone in aging men. When TriMix is injected into the penis, it causes the corpus cavernosum to become relaxed and dilate, allowing it to expand and fill with blood. Depending on your specific body type and individual needs, the dosage can vary. The initial dose should be 0.05 cc to 0.2 cc, depending on the level of ED. Wait 48 hours before increasing the dosage. Increase by 0.025 cc to 0.050 cc until a satisfactory dose is reached. The maximum dose is 0.50 cc.

TriMix is a compounded medication that has been widely used since the 1980s, and intracavernosal injections like TriMix are recognized by the American Urological Association as a reliable, non-surgical treatment option for erectile dysfunction (ED). How long do the results last?

Erections from a TriMix injection usually last between one and two hours. If they exceed two hours, an antidote, phenylephrine, can be applied in a similar manner to TriMix. If the erection persists beyond three hours, seek medical help immediately.
